little shop of horrors

finally, the second picture has been loaded. 'it' let me do one last night, but not the other. what are these pictures of, you may ask? imagine what u may, but this is actually my carrion, or starfish plant, doing its bloom thang. the picture on the left was taken at 5:30AM, the one on the right was taken almost 12 hours later. and yes, those are flies inside. this is how the carrion plant recieved its name. it smells of rotten meat so that it attracts flies. the decieved flies then proceed inside, and not finding any meat, i would guess leave dejected. although the flies needs were not met, the plant was successful. the flies just helped the carrion plant carry on in its battle to continue its existence. btw, the plant only smells strongly to flies, not to me or my neighbors at my apartment complex :)

so, the indians also relate to the title above. in their last 6 games, they are 2-4. of the 4 losses, three were walk-off fashion (aka, the indians are on the road, and blow the lead in the ninth inning, someone from the opposing team gets a hit that scores the winning run, and GAME OVER, man.) in the other loss, the lead was lost in the eighth inning. frustrating, demoralizing, ugly, sickening, disgusting... that's my tribe (as they say in the TV commercials).

so, i had my 'big' meeting friday. getting straight into the masters program is not an option. getting into the bachelor's program will not be easy, it could be a six year commitment. nine if i would go for the masters. decisions, decisions.....
