i am leaving for OH at 06:30. of course, it is 23:53, and i just finished packing.

maintaining the status quo.

the desert museum and mount lemmon happened as planned this weekend. a good time was had by all.

work is semi-crazy as usual. always teetering on that edge. i think i am done subbing. i am not aware of summer classes that would need to be subbed for. as awesome as it has been, i look forward to having my fridays open again. and i have the fall to look forward to. then school for the winter? somehow, someway, i will become a wildcat student.

i know it's been awhile, but i must digress.

these carpets ... are clean!

with the flush of the toilet, my workday finally ended!
i just showered after steam vacing the carpet (FINALLY, that was some black water), quick cleaning the kitchen and shower, and cleaning the toilet. that was after working 10 hours, getting coffee, eating dinner, talking to mom (again), and visiting with two buds here at the apartment complex. the 'final flush' was to release the hounds, er the wonderful blue that colors the toilet water every time one flushes.

more exciting have been the last three weekends here in hot tucson. the wonderful, wonderful 100 heat. i love it. i am serial! amongst all the fun, there was a strong dose of cold hard reality mixed in. i am not going to divulge the incident here. (i will be glad to explain in a personal e-mail or phone call). let's just say the chinese would say i was involved in a large learning experience. it is funny how responsive life is. you make a statement, then do something dumb regarding that statement, and whammo. i guess it is good that is the case. the greater good always wins out.

laff's on friday was awesome! really, just one dude was of the four comics was great, but the others were ok, and overall it was all good. my class of fourth graders was the best experience i have had teaching so far. much needed after the kindergarten'ers from hades the previous friday.

saturday i helped cory build his house way out in vail, hit a sidewinders game and got a 2006 championship T-shirt, and met my sean and rickyana out at the maverick.

sunday i made it to ginger and jean's for dinner, but we never got around to playing cards for many various reasons.

ok, time to get tsuki in so i can crash. 05:30 comes in a hurry.

MMMF storm on stage

this is the 'monsoon' storm that passed by late saturday afternoon at mc dowell mountain music fest. for some reason, it is not playing. technical difficulties are abounding. i will have to investigate later. i have 4th graders to teach today.

booked

now friday night is taken. most likely, it will be spent at laugh's comedy club.

i finally posted a new indians blog posting.

i want a microscope. ideally, something with 100X's power. i think that will be my next purchase.

oh yeah, last night i was reading the newest issue of discover. there was a short article that dealt with the topic of whether time exist. i had always pondered the same question in my head. i was wondered how time was considered a dimension. at least the word 'and' always precedes 'time' when the four dimensions are mentioned. a clock does not measure time. ask the people who run the national clock. a second is defined as a certain (large) number of vibrations of a cesium atom. time is different depending on the speed one is travelling. why? the change is minute till one reaches 90% the speed of light. anyway, i could go on. my reason for bringing this up was a quote from albert einstein.

'Now he has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us who believe in physics know that the distinction between the past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion'.

he was writing to a relative of a friend of just recently passed away. i guess i have always believed in physics. maybe in theory only. it is hard to imagine him offering solace with those words after one has lost their seventh month old nephew.

hApPy 29th

monday. may 7th. that be today. the birthday of my sister. i worked today. it was an ok day. for a monday and all. emphasis on the 'and all'.

sorta hard to segue out of the openner. so, it has been awhile since i 'posted'. that's crazy may for me. mcdowell mountain was awesome! had a great time. so was this weekend. kfma day was ok, then chris cornell came on. he was awesome! soundgarten has always been up there as one of my favorite bands. i was worried (for some stupid reason) that seeing him in concert might ruin that. i was soooo wrong! he did four songs from soundgarten. and 'hungry' from temple of the dog. i cannot imagine any of those five songs would have been better had it been back in the day. the audioslave songs were sweet too. i just wish he had played one more song. ' what you are' is what i had in mind. and he should have substituted 'blow up the outside world' for 'spoonman'. he openned with that overplayed, not soo great tune. then he could have openned with 'outshined', which he played second. something to think about chris.

and then there was tool. i had to 'eat' my extra ticket. that was ok. the fourth time was there best for me. it was soo good, i bought a ridiculously expensive ($38) concert T.

i vacuumed tonight, after talking to my mom for an hour and a half. i finished at 21:50. for neighborly concerns, i usually do not like doing so, so late. but 'quiet time' here starts at 22:00, and it needed it BADLY. it is getting warm so tsuki is shedding. i work outside all day. and it has been awhile. i missed out on vacuuming and steam vaccing yesterday, as i had to go up to mt lemmon and pull a buddy's car out. i cannot wait till my next window of oppurtunity to do steam vac.

it will not be saturday. i now have plans for this day. a wall raising party for my buddy cory who is building his house out in vail.

i am still subbing too. this past friday, i had a kindergarten class. filled with kindergarten'ers from hell. i never never felt so humbled subbing as i felt after i mercifully got done friday afternoon. NOTHING i did calmed those kids down. absolutely nothing. i think there was some conspiracy, and the parents of each and every child in the class was given chocolate, sugar, and coffee to their kid for breakfast. and then told the school NOT to give the an assistantat, as every preshool and kindergarten class is supposed to have. at least that was my thought on why these kids acted as if there seats were filled with molten lead, thus staying seated for more than 1 minute was impossible. i had to send two kids to the office. one because he spit at another child, the other because he slapped another child in the face.

ok, i MUST hit the sack.

happy 29th!
