turkey time again
hello every body...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!tis that time again. this year, i probably will have some turkey at destination #1, then some cornish game hen at destination #2. one week ago, i didn't even know what i was doing today.then again, two days ago my toe nails did not match the color of the protection layer of my work books. now i have rock 'n' roll toes!
i went on a hike!
i went up to picacho peak today with a friend. amazing!, as always. my first big hike of the fall / winter hiking season.and because i did so, i averted the heartache associated with the cleveland browns loss to the pittsburgh steelers in pittsburgh today. i expected another pittsburgh blow out. loosing a close game to your most hated rival at their place when we were winning AND just barely missing a game tying field goal with 4 seconds remaining; worse.i have note really posted much in awhile. so i probably have not mentioned the awesomeness that is comet holmes. one has to look at it in binoculars to truly appreciate the tailless big poofball comet.i worked at the koi show on saturday. that was interesting. some sweet fishy, fo sure.ok, i got pics to post over on my hiking blog.
gold in space
i learned some things about gold today.it is most abundant in our planet's biggest bodies of water, the oceans. more gold exist on a single medium sized asteroid than has ever been mined on earth. this data was determined by the NEAR orbiter when it orbited and landed on near earth asteroid eros.right now, neither supply is being tapped into. that might be something to look into. it has been freakishly hot here. 90 degrees, in november. not that i am complaining.
